About her
I am comfortable in my own skin, and have in the past had relationships with men and women, but throughout my life it is women that I have most deeply loved, and I am now only looking for a woman, and preferably one who is also only looking for a woman. I love my life, it is full of richness and a great deal of laughter and happiness, but I would very much like to share it with someone compatible. I have many friends but am missing the special intimacy and support and fun of a relationship.
I listen to a lot of music, and read and think a lot, loving to discuss ideas in an open way, definitely to the left in politics, and yearn for a world of social, economic and environmental justice.
I like unusual films, often the ones described as World Cinema, but also police and crime series, but avoid films with gratuitous violence.
Music of many kinds has always been central in my life, and I can be moved by the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bach, César Franck, Fairport Convention, Leonard Cohen, Mozart, Brahms, and many others, depending on my mood at the time.
I would have liked to create an eco-home on a hill, with a natural swimming pond, and watch the weather and the seasons roll round me and a loved partner. That ship may have sailed, but one never knows, with the right partner...
I have never much liked pubs and clubs, but friends say I am definitely not an introvert as I clearly get so much enjoyment from people. But after being sociable I sometimes need to be quiet and reflective for a while to recharge myself.
To relax I like to swim, walk, sing, read, take photos, travel (on trains and buses, not planes), and spend time with the people I love.
I might be described as having rather apocalyptic views of the future of our beloved and gracious planet; but I am very keen on being in the moment and looking for the beauty of what is happening right now, and loving those who are here with us at the moment.

I am looking for someone with integrity, kindness and wisdom, and a lively - perhaps mischievous - sense of humour would be a great plus. It would be good to share walks, and love of gardens, music, narrowboats, the sea, occasional cycling, weather, and sometimes holidays. Conversation is very important, and the sharing of ideas.
