About him
Friends would say I'm easy going, loyal and good to be around; a combination of deep conversation (a bid to understand the world around me), and humourous (a bid to describe the world around me). Since humour is subjective, mine has been described in various ways from dry to light/dark to non-existent. Some of the comedians I like in no particular order: Jimmy Carr, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Chris Rock, Ricky Gervias and the late Joan Rivers (I struggled to find a decent female comedian 🤷♂️).
My taste in music is varied; Rock to Reggae, The Clash to the Cello! Music, especially classical can reach places and evoke emotions I can't describe. I do not own a TV but do like to watch films, that too is varied.
I have a few hobbies/interests, some of which I do on a regular basis, like play Chess online, and a few that I have done in the past but would like to revisit them time permiting. I enjoy running, cycling (fair weather) and free-weights and keep in reasonable shape.
I came across a word recently that struck a chord with me regarding my self-perception – an “ambivert”! I suspect that my predominant character trait is that of an ‘introvert’ but there are always exceptions to the rule and sometimes I could come across as an ‘extrovert’… so ‘ambivert’ may be a compromise or a new word to add to the lexicon if it isn’t there already.
I believe in 'life long learning' and there's a lesson in most things. My outlook is generally positive although I am possessive about time - I'm doing my best not to waste my time or yours. I do not want to spend lots of time sending messages back and forth - lets meet and decide if we will meet again.
