I travelled the world through work & leisure and would be happy to see more of the UK.
I am a keen golfer and it would be a bonus to meet a fellow golfer but this is not essential, I don't watch a lot of TV, I find soaps or reality type programmes are a big turn off I probably enjoy radio particularly radio 4.
I'm very wary but nothing ventured etc etc ( always an optimist ).
I don't own any pets but I am very much a K9 person. I don't have a check off list likes/dislikes of a potential suitor other than being a non smoker & having a good sense of humour (you might need it). I'm not on here to play the field meeting the right person is my ultimate genuine ambition. I am happy to travel within a reasonable distance & would rather meet up with someone for a chat at a public venue cafe/restaurant than endless messages.
I served in the Navy (Submarines )for 35 years as an engineer and amazingly I'm tattoo free, still have most of my teeth & have a healthy liver .
I am a keen DIY person and can tackle most jobs around the house. My health is good I have had both knees replaced recently ( at same time) and I'm now back to full health and enjoying walking again.
At my age, I'm not looking for a bells, buzzers & romantic encounters but hopefully meet that right person to engage in a friendship leading to a long fulfilling lasting relationship.
I'm currently in Spain for the next few weeks as I rent an apartment for 3 months ( Sept to Dec) in the meantime it would be great to make contact with a like-minded person.
