About him
I had a good job and am now reaping the benefits of a hard working life with the funds to use as I wish. I split my time between Inverness and Edinburgh - frequent A9 travelling is pretty scary !!
I like to travel and this year it will be Botswana, Spain, South Africa, Namibia and Madagascar. I am sure a couple of sunshine breaks in the Med will happen as well. While I do this myself I wish it was with somebody else. Somebody to make new memories with.
I like to take photographs whether it be wildlife, far flung cities or the beauty of Scotland's natural habitat. These images do not just sit on my laptop but are printed out and hung around the house. Sometimes even made into coffee table books.
My outlook on life? Well having experienced the death of a baby son and my wife over the years, I am probably mentally pretty strong. There is still a life to live and it needs to be got on with.
About his ideal match
I am curious and would find life pointless if I did not learn something new everyday. I like to talk about and discuss anything and everything from food, to literature, lifestyles, cultures, music and the world. If really pushed that would include politics but would need to be pushed as nowadays none of them answer your question and fact-checking would be the defacto.
We all have something to offer as each and everyone of us are unique with different experiences and wishes. I suppose I would rather be with a do-er than somebody who is happier sitting back and letting others get on with it.
I like the finer things in life and appreciate quality. Think more Michelin than Weatherspoons, more Barbour than Primark, more hard-backed books than Kindle.
So are the above standards you live by and want me to have? If so, then reply on a postcard or back of a stuck down envelope. However they do say opposites attract, so maybe I have it all wrong and I need to see and appreciate life from a different angle.
