Now for the serious bit…
I’d like to think I’m one of the good guys. Probably a little old-fashioned in some ways — I still believe manners, kindness and treating people properly matter, even if they seem a bit rare these days.
I do have a very cute dog, although custody is shared week-on, week-off with my ex-wife. The upside is that when he’s not with me, I have a bit more freedom for weekends away, dinners out and spontaneous plans.
As for the “money to burn” part — not quite. But after running my own business successfully for over 25 years, I’m lucky enough to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle and a good quality of life, which came from plenty of hard work along the way.
And finally, the “killer body” claim…
I’ll leave that for you to judge. I’m not gym-sculpted or obsessed with protein shakes, but I’m fit, slim, active and take care of myself. I play a bit of golf, walk a lot with the dog, eat well and enjoy a good glass of wine — preferably somewhere with decent company.
So… your ideal man? Maybe.
Worth finding out? Definitely.
I love all the usual good things in life with — concerts and shows, weekends away, holidays, great food in lovely restaurants, or just a walk with my dog followed by Sunday lunch in a country pub.
And I’m just as happy with a simple night in too: a takeaway, a good bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for me, and some music playing in the background.

Not the easiest thing to write, but here goes…
I’m looking for someone fun to be around, confident, and up for a bit of adventure. A dog lover is an absolute must — sorry, but I’m always slightly suspicious of people who don’t like dogs.
Ideally, you’re just as happy turning left on a long-haul flight as you are jumping on a Ryanair flight if it’s under an hour or so. Luxury hotels are great and to be very honest, my norm, but being able to survive a night or two in a Travelodge without complaining is equally important.
A spontaneous streak is always a big bonus too.
