I'm in the Yukon, way up in northern Canada, and would love an excuse to come over the pond to meet you, preferably in Scotland as my first choice but I’m open to anywhere in the UK. I'm mostly a homebody, working as a counsellor by day, and I play guitar and sing in a local rock band. My interests are history, nature, art, writing, psychology, and fireplaces of all types! My friends would describe me as a calm, independent, reliable, creative and spiritual introvert who has great social and communication skills. My political outlook is on the Conservative side, I believe in using my gifts and talents to the fullest, and being brave enough to take a chance and go for my dreams. That’s one reason I’m here. I'm looking for a man who preferably lives in a rural part of the UK, preferably someplace in the north, (you get extra special points if you live in Scotland or its outlying islands but it’s negotiable!)😉
Ideally you are an independent, hands-on person who knows himself, values his own time and has lived life a bit. Either working or retired is fine. I value someone who is a bit of a do-it-yourself person, handy, capable, has some passions or interests he pursues.
Perhaps a quiet and thoughtful type? but certainly someone who is loyal, a gentleman, and can also communicate well. I enjoy someone who is intelligent and has some of the same interests as I do. Someone who can cook would be lovely! Someone who wants to go exploring around beautiful historical places and can enjoy solitude with me, as well as the occasional rowdy pub night.
Dealbreakers for me would be a heavy drinker/drug user, someone who is clingy and insecure, someone who doesn't have manners, doesn't take care of himself, and doesn't like to be active.
