About him
I’m fit and active. I love walking in the fells. My electric mountain bike has reinvigorated my enjoyment of off-road cycling, while my on-road cycling is still self-propelled. I run 10km twice a week, though regard that as chore. I’d like a partner who enjoys some of these activities and can introduce me to others.
I also enjoy more passive pastimes such as theatre, museums, art galleries and live music. I’ve very recently retired and am trying out various u3a groups such as Philosophy, Political Economy and Art Appreciation.
I’m solvent and own my own home. I’d like a partner in a similar position.
I’m thoughtful, by which I mean I think about things. I take an interest in what’s going on in the world. Most of days start with listening to the R4 Today Programme.
I have three grown up children, only two of whom are thriving. The other is staying with me temporarily. I’m immensely proud of them all.
I’ve recently enjoyed re-watching Yes (Prime) Minister, which gives you some idea of my sense of humour. I practically know the scripts of Fawlty Towers by heart.

I like animals so I don't eat them but I'm not fond of pets.
